Nicolas Sadirac has a passion for learning sciences, a gift passed down by his mother. He is a pioneer of “active pedagogy” in France. Nicolas shuns the standard education model and through his work, seeks to turn them upside down. Across his numerous projects, he has sought to implement a new learning philosophy that detects and promotes talent from all backgrounds, with a sensitivity to current economic realities. In 2013 he established ‘Ecole 42’ with French entrepreneur Xavier Niel. 42 has no teachers, no fees and doesn’t require any previous knowledge of computer science. After 5 years of expanding 42, Nicolas left to launch 01 Edu System with the aim of promoting peer-learning methods and programmes designed to train creative software engineers across the world. He is using the knowledge gained through 42 to develop a new, more open, more versatile learning platform aimed both at young people and professionals seeking digital retraining.
