Justin is a Venture Partner at European tech investor Northzone (Spotify, iZettle, Labster, Kahoot!), Deputy Chair of social learning platform FutureLearn and the Vice Chair of Unicef UK. He also sits on the Advisory Boards of The British Museum and the UK Government’s GREAT Campaign and is an active investor and adviser to numerous early stage tech businesses. Justin studied Drama at the University of Manchester before embarking upon a career with the BBC, Universal Music and United News and Media.
He Founded global digital agency Fortune Cookie in 1997, which he grew before selling to WPP in 2012. He also served on the Board of EPiServer and ActiveStandards before exiting to IK Investment partners and K1 Capital. He is the former Chair of the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) and served on the Advertising Association’s Leadership Council. Wired Magazine listed Justin in its Top 100, he was recently inducted into the British Digital Hall of Fame and most recently Business Insider ranked him as one of the UK’s “coolest” tech VC’s – something which his three children will testify is blatantly untrue.
