Gregg Behr

In his thirteenth year as executive director of The Grable Foundation, Gregg Behr manages a grantmaking portfolio advancing high-quality early childhood education, improved teaching and learning in public schools, and robust out-of-school time support.

Nationally, Gregg is board chair for Grantmakers for Education and is a trustee of GreatNonprofits.org; he is a former board chair of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations. In Pittsburgh, he founded and co-chairs Remake Learning, a network of more than 500 schools, museums, libraries, and other sites of learning collectively advancing modern teaching and learning.

In 2016, the White House recognized Gregg as a Champion of Change for his efforts to advance making and learning; in 2015, he was recognized as one of America’s Top 30 Technologists, Transformers, and Trailblazers by the Center for Digital Education; and in 2014, Gregg accepted the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award on behalf of Pittsburgh’s efforts to reimagine education.
