Dr. Wahidyar is currently senior advisor to the Minister of Education of Afghanistan. He has also served as Director of Communication, Senior Policy Programme Advisor & Chief of Staff. His main responsibilities are overseeing the strategic operation of the Ministry of Education in Kabul.
Prior to the Ministry of Education, he spent several years working in UNICEF, The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan and UNAMA. In recognition of his services in education sector, he was awarded the second highest civil award of Afghanistan – the Mir Masjidi Khan Medal.
Dr. Wahidyar is currently working on his PhD in Education (Sydney University, Australia) he earned B.A.s in Education and Political Science, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Peshawar and a Medical Doctor degree from Afghan university. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, Urdu and English.
