I am passionate about the potential for digital technology to positively transform the way vocational learning is delivered, and the power this will have to positively impact people’s lives and opportunities. At Ufi we have been growing our activity across a wide portfolio of projects designed to impact across the UK, delivering better, faster and more effective vocational training.
I have a background in supporting and encouraging innovation and increasing the use of technology within business and joined Ufi in 2014 with a clear remit to develop Ufi to enable more vocational skills for more people, more of the time, with a focus on increasing learning and skills opportunities for communities, sectors, industries and places that are traditionally ‘unloved’.
As part of the Ufi mission to achieve better learning for the workplace, I have always been convinced that we need a range of financial support mechanisms to allow us to influence and develop different parts of the system. This has led to the development of a model for impact investment within Ufi – VocTech Amplify, which allows us to support mission related investment.
